Heavy rain lashed several areas of the UAE on Wednesday morning, brining the temperature down by a few notches.

The weather body said that the lowest temperature recorded over the country was around 17°C at Jabal Jais in Ras Al Khaimah.

Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, orders Dubai Police emergency and rescue teams to support rescue operations being conducted in Fujairah and Eastern Areas to help people affected by heavy rain on Wednesday.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said, “Convective rainy clouds formation associated with fresh winds with speed of 40 km/hr. and rough sea with wave height reaching 7 Ft offshore in the Arabian Gulf from 14:30 Tuesday 26/07/2022 until Wednesday 27/07/2022.”
