A touching video has been doing the rounds on social media of a Ukrainian girl greeting her father who returned from war.
In the midst of a war, there is nothing like living with your own family who are unharmed.
And especially when a member of the family is in the frontlines.
The video was shared by UkraineWorld, a Twitter site that keeps track of news, analysis, podcasts, and videos from Ukraine.
The tweet read, “A little girl is warmly welcoming her father she has not seen for months.”
The gesture is priceless.
The girl was actually looking for someone else but was surprised by her father’s appearance.
It is noteworthy that the young girl didn’t go for goodies in that father’s hands. She opted for a hug.
Ever since the video was shared, netizens are loving the father-daughter bonding.
A Twitter user, Giuliana Moretti said, “Ohhhh so cute how happy she is to see her dad. I have heart palpitations because I was so happy with the girl.”
Zora Turn wrote, “Awesome video… Heard her call for 'Papou' (Grandfather) before being surprised by her father appearing?
“We called our grandfather Papou and never knew why I'm not Greek. Anyone else call their grandfather Papou? Is this common?”
Twitter user Karen Boychuk corrected Zora Turn, and said, “Actually she is calling him "Tatu." "Tatu" is the #Ukrainian word for "daddy."
Another user by the name, Wolf Lair wrote, “Very, very heartwarming! God bless the little girl, God bless the father, God bless the family, God bless Ukraine.”
Kocia said, “It is so touching that I can't help but cry…”
TH Watson said, “Bless this family; this was so wonderful to watch. Her squeals and the delight at seeing her father are so touching!”
Shaun said on Twitter, “This is one of the most heartwarming things I’ve seen. She just can’t contain herself and the smile on his face is priceless.
AJ said, “Exquisite! Thanks for sharing. Do you all notice how she went for her ‘pawpa’ and NOT the pack of gifts. May this love they share live on...”
Lynne wrote, “Absolutely love this... but then had a howl for all the little ones who won't see their dads again...”
Tim C said, “…But the most precious thing he brought home was freedom for his children to be alive & hopefully safer.”
On the war front, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned on Wednesday that if any other country intervenes in Moscow's military operation in Ukraine, Russia will launch a quick-fire military response.
Putin said that "if anyone sets out to intervene in the current events from the outside and creates unacceptable threats for us that are strategic in nature, they should know that our response... will be lightning-fast."
The Russian leader said that the military would not hesitate to use the most modern weaponry.
